For the girlies that know immortality isn't actually a curse when there's a million and one things to do and hobbies to pick up <3
This book was extremely beautifully written, atmospheric, and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading it and getting to know the main character through different eras in her life. It's perfectly introspective enough to be an amazing character study with enough plot intrigue to keep it from being too boring.
The book does suffer through some pacing issues and repetitiveness, but not enough to detract from the reading experience. In fact, I feel like it did add a very monotonous ambiance that echoes Addie's journey.
I thought it would be more emotional, especially with all the buildup and character-building (~450 pages of it in fact) but nary a single tear was shed.
