Okay, I felt mixed feelings about this novella for TOG series. I enjoyed the structure of the book, with five short stories but it was difficult for me to convince myself to read this one. Most people read it between book 3 + 4 but I read before the last book because I felt like if I had read it earlier I would have lost momentum with the series.

Things I didn’t love: very repetitive, the switch for falling in love with Sam happened so fast and I feel like it didn’t have much development of those true feelings it was just like omg we’re in love now!

Things I liked: finally getting Sam’s backstory, the connection between the characters in the prequel to the last book is awesome, her development as a MC

I actually really liked the book but for being the number one assassin Celaena is kinda stupid. How many times can you be duped by literally everyone before you’re like maybe I’m not that good of an assassin..?
