I love Greek feminism. This book is all about men using women and leaving them ruined and women paying for the crimes of men.

This is the best Greek mythology retelling I've ever read. The characters were projected in a way that made them relatable today and made the plight of women as a theme touch every character and every chapter so effortlessly it was an education that was easy to digest

I feel like this was risky given the success that Madeline Miller has with the greek mythology retellings and I don't really think it paid off. There were some interesting ideas here, but I never really felt compelled to continue the story and I had a hard time caring about the characters all that much. The little connection Ariadne had with Perceus at the end felt a little out if left field since this was literally the first time they'd met.

I had a great time reading this from the beginning until about the halfway point and then it just dragged.  Lost some interest but made myself finish.  I didn't dislike it but I didn't like it either.  It was just fine.
