3,5/5 tapi mari dibulatkan menjadi 4 stars!
Pas mulai baca gak bisa berhenti sampai selesai tapi realita dunia membuatkan berhenti membaca sejenak untuk mengejar dunia wkwk
It was a good read. The story was good, I love this kind of story, hate-love story.
I love the characters and all their story. But maybe it was kinda long-almost-boring story near the end. But still love it!
Love how each characters fight their own pasts and moving forward.
This book make me realized that family is not always family, in bad or good interpretations.
Gonna read more of Samatha Young's books!

I’ve had this ARC sitting in my Kindle for years and I have to wonder if I read it back when I received it what my perception would have been. There’s a strong case of insta-lust and an enemies-to-lovers trope (which I always enjoy) as well as some sad backstories for both main characters. Both Ava and Caleb are in their 30s (30 and 35) but they act a lot younger in my opinion. I felt you could have told me they were 22 and 26 and I would have believed you. I did like that they didn’t go straight into insta-love, and that it did get built on friendship, but I felt a lot of their relationship was unhealthy and wish we could have seen better progression or growth as opposed to how it went.

I received an advanced copy through Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This book really turned into a hate read for me. Ava and Caleb were both obnoxious and obtuse. They did not redeem themselves really at all, over the entire book. The whole back stories of why Ava is the way she is now and why Caleb is the way he is now were so fricking trite and tired.

I can't recommend this. Don't bother.

I am dnfing this after like 50 pages. I really really love hate to love trope, when they hate each other for 70% of the book but in this one it was more like hate to first sight and sex at second sight which I hate.
And one thing that bothered me and it does appear in a lot of adult romance books, is when main male protagonist doesn't like main female protagonist who doesn't eat a lot, eats just salads to stay fit (in this book he was plesently suprised that she ate cake and steak for dinner). So the problem here is that this woman is hot and he does appriciate that but he wants her to eat too WELL GUESS WHAT IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ANYONE.

(Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes, english is not my first language.)

Dude, this was another really cute one! With The Impossible Vastness of Us being the only other book of Samantha Young's that I've read, I really didn't know what to expect here. Between this, 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne, and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, I've certainly filled my "cute patoot" meter for the month of February, though I wouldn't be opposed to a stretch goal of some sort.

I loved the chemistry between Caleb and Ava, it was super great, almost reminiscent of The Hating Game in that it was a hate to lust to love relationship, but it still lacked that level of chemistry. I am forever ruined by The Hating Game in that no other contemporary romance will ever measure up to it.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the third act and the fashion in which it was hamfisted into the story, but I liked the actual ending and the big romantic gesture. This was very much like an adorable romcom and I was totally okay with that. Great job, Young. You have more of my attention now!

Knocked down 0.75 for really judgy outlook on a woman choosing to have an abortion. Kept waiting for even "I understand it's her choice to make but I still hate her for it", but even that tiny bit of mercy wasn't given.

I enjoyed this book enough to read all of it. But it took me a couple days and I felt it lasted way to long. We didn’t need to know every single detail the author could come up with. However it was a good story and it managed to make me cry twice, so that’s something
