Arianna Huffington's Thrive starts out Really strong, and I loved this book immediately. On a similar path as Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In (In face, Ms. Huffington quotes her), Thrive discusses what success means and the need to adjust work life so that people can enjoy their lives. Unlike Lean In, Thrive takes a stronger Wellness path overall, and this fits right into the very messages that I put out on my blog and in my speaking.

After awhile, though, the book did drag on. There are lots of great references and lots of research to back up her writing, but after awhile, I felt like I got it.

This is still a great read, I still strongly recommend it to others who are feeling the Path to Success is not working for them in some way.

An insightfully curated compilation of advice to help you "thrive" in your life. While the broad concepts themselves weren't groundbreaking (sleep more, unplug, give to others, etc), the in-depth explanations for why and how were pretty useful. I enjoyed the personal anecdotes from Arianna's own life, and the many statistics and scientific studies cited were convincing. It also contains a wealth of inspirational quotations - need to go back through and write them down.

Thrive by Arianna Huffington is a great book to help you redefine your life. I found the parts about being present, meditation, sleep, and coincidences particularly thoughtful. As someone who works in social media I felt like I could really connect with her point of view.

I enjoyed the little tips and tricks that can help you feel more positive about your life. For example, Arianna shares ways to help yourself get good sleep, how to remain positive by writing down 3 positive things from the day, and reminding us that coincidences should be looked at with wonder, are all things that I can take away from this book.

As someone who goes after goals sometimes it is particularly hard to remember to remain positive and spend time reflecting. Instead of just go-go-going.

But, the BEST thing about this book is that it inspires you to act.

The book is superficial and too esoteric, but it can be used as a starting point for self-reflecting for those who feel their life is not as balanced as they want.

I highly recommend this book. She released a sequel to this book called the sleep revolution, and that is one of my favorite books.

This book is all about how to live a life where you can look back onto it and say, wow, I am thriving. Highly suggest it.

This book is a good one for the Summer Reading theme. It's all about taking care of yourself mentally and physically so you can live a better life.

I just couldn't bring myself to finish....not my cup of tea.

Nicely written book about leading a more successful live focused on well-being, giving and wonder. I liked how backed up it was with research. Nothing revolutionary though.
