I had high hopes for this Spirit Animals book, I've enjoyed the series and love the idea of so many of my favorite young adult writers working out the adventure together. I also love Shannon Hale's writing, but it was a bit flat in my opinion.

I'm loving the story line and the team work of developing friendships. Good role models of perseverance, forgiveness, endurance, and patience.
The emotional scenes were a bit more emotionally violent (abandoned child, parent dying). I'm not sure if that's due to the authors' writing style or character development. Either way I'm enjoying the series. I like the different flavor of each book.
