Boring characters. This is my second attempt trying this and it didn't work out. Too many other interesting things to read to bother slugging through. Better books in this series I might revisit but not this one.

I’m not a big fan of age gap romances and when I read that Wylie was only 21 and Posey was 31, I already felt icky about it. It’s why I skipped Taters’ book entirely. There are some novels where there’s an age gap, but it doesn’t feel that bad because the character is mature, but you can tell that Wylie’s still a child. The fact that her dad even set up this arrangement to begin with is telling. If he saw her as a real adult, he’d let her make her own decisions, not try to manipulate her back into school. Even when outlining the agreement, the fact that she had to find her own housing and pay her own bills without him just screamed that she was still a kid.

I love Posey as a character in all of the other books. He’s such a cute golden retriever and a good friend. However, the entire first 113 pages of his story was just about how attracted he was to Wylie and everything is sexual. The”sexual” chemistry felt forced and so excessive because it was the only thing they talked about/kept mentioning the ENTIRE time. Okay, we get it, you want to fuck but do you have any thing else to add? Combine that with the age gap and Wylie very clearly not knowing how to be an adult (aka being a CHILD), and it just made me feel uncomfortable.

I usually hate DNFing books but I  really had to stop reading this one.

*I received an ARC from Meghan but it in no way effects my review of this book*

So impressed with the way this series was closed out. Posey was everything I wanted and more - per usual with Meghan’s books I was laughing out loud the whole time but still so moved by Wylie and Posey’s love story. Gonna miss this group big time!

this was a hard book for me to rate because there were times when I totally hated posey like when he took that other girl back to the room just to push Wylie into admitting she wanted him that was fucked up. And some of the work stuff was fucked up too and I didn’t like it. But overwhelming I obviously loved him and especially loved their banter!! I also don’t care how it ended wylies dad sucks. The story about her mom made it a little better but still shitty what he put her through!! Also I was hoping for more of a rounded out conclusion of the group like maybe they all go back to the cabin where it started but it feels like while the books themselves didn’t lose the plot the overall series lost the plot a little bit. And then OC was added in, I’m sure he’ll have his own book in another series or something but it was kinda annoying cause I wanted it to be rounded out after this book but it felt like it left on a cliffhanger because of the OC stuff.

i was so excited for Posey’s book & honestly i was laughing my ass off a majority of this book but a few takeaways:

1. you have to ignore the fact that Posey is in his 30s acting like a 20 year old
2. the way Posey talks to his best friends girls makes my skin crawl, i cringed reading their group chat
3. enough with the bologna
