I liked the novel okay but it couldn't really captivate me. I just didn't connect to the characters and felt the whole romance was somewhat rushed and missing this special spark. The writing was pretty good though.

It could have been worse, but still falls into all the tropes. I didn't hate the characters though.

Saw this in my library and legit forgot I'd already read it. I got nearly halfway through before it started to feel familiar.

Having gone through my home renovation show phase and then my own major renovation, I was really interested to read a ff romance with this premise. And I enjoyed what I read. I liked the characters. I really liked the side characters. And there was some really great banter. It just didn't grab a hold of me in a meaningful way. Joss's prejudice against Olivia seemed really forced, as did the final drama leading up to Olivia's big lightbulb moment.

It's a solid read. It's just that once I finished it, I mostly forgot about it. In fact, I had to look up the MC's name to write this review on a book I finished 3 days ago.

Honestly found some of the conflict and motivations of the characters annoying and unrealistic. But the sex scenes were pretty hot and it was a very easy lighthearted read. It felt cozy and I did enjoy most of it.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. There were points in the book that I liked a lot, but overall I just couldn't love it. The relationship between the two characters never seemed real to me, and the first reaction from Joss followed her throughout the book, as she constantly continued making assumptions. Either Olivia or Joss was the least liked characters as they didn't listen or understand the other. Everything else was ok but the relationship between these two characters just didn't work for me, but I love other works by this author, just not this one. It was an ok read, but I will not reread.
