Loved this book, but an not currently in a mindset where I can enjoy it. Looking forward to when I go back to it!

Okay so I both loved and also disliked this book. The first part and half meander and trudge their way through a lot of scientific exploration that makes it very hard to push through because there’s no real other plot. It’s worse when the book actually gets interesting because it makes you feel like you’ve had to wade through a lot to get there. When this book is good it’s honestly great and amazing but it cuts off and finished so abruptly it was hard to feel accomplished or to feel the big reveal had any real pay out. It feels kind of like Wole Soyinka had three books he wanted to write and individually if given a chance I bet they would have all been 5 stars but this combo makes it lacklustre and difficult.
