I got 50 pages in and I was really struggling to follow. I think it is quite dense and, while that isn't a bad thing, it just wasn't clicking for me. I also think you need an understanding of socio-political climate in Nigeria to make the allegory work and I do not have it.

This book is incredibly dense and difficult to read. Gave myself a headache trying to follow the prose.

I was confused for approx the first 150 pages but it grew on me. Remained somewhat confused throughout though.

While I’m glad I read this book I feel like I need the deeper meanings explained more and need to reread & study it … but I’m not invested in it enough to bother with such ongoing study of it.

I liked the development of the story however it took a very long time to get past background and for the story to start. I really liked the way the book's ultimate twist and thought it was a worth while read.

I like the writing but it is just so meandering. 3 chapters and 50 pages in and it was just a slog of world-building, there was no hint at who the MC was or what the plot might be... there are just other books I'd rather read atm
