I'm sorry, I could only make it 25 pages in. I was actually interested in the first chapter, but then LORD, the EXPOSITION. It took over. What a slog. No thank you.

Man, and I was really excited about this one too. :'(

This is one of the hardest, complicated books I have ever read. Rewarding once the plot starts half way through the book though.

My knowledge of contemporary Nigerian politics is incredibly limited, so much of the specific satirical aspects went way over my head. Nevertheless, this was a knotty and lyrical exploration of the ways in which neoliberalism works with religious and medical institutions to control people's physical bodies.
