This was a really interesting take on Greek mythology and I thought it was cool. Took me a little bit to get through it, even though the paperback is pretty small, it is 460 pages which kind of surprised me. I think there was some stuff that maybe was unnecessary but not so much so that the book just dragged on forever.

This book has such a unique concept and I am here for it. Greek mythology in a modern setting combined with a hunt. It was really cool and executed really well. I loved the way the Greek God could gain their immortality was really cool. And the amount of things that got revealed as it went along was amazing. The way that all of the characters were connected and how that all came to play was fun to read.
I really liked how we follow Lore, a strong female lead, that takes the reigns but still listens to everyone else. The book has a strong female lead without taking away from the male characters and their roles in the story. She was capable of being a leader and delegating but also was able to physically fight.
I also like the Ancient Greek words in the book and the history in it beyond the Gods. The world felt really well constructed.
This book is a solid 5/5, it is unique in a very good way.

“By the gods—sea, fire, and women are the three evils.” (p. 443).
Dark throughout, but a happy ending.

DNF’ed I honestly just couldn’t care enough to finish this. The idea of this book sounds amazing but I’m not enjoying how it’s written.

i really enjoyed reading this book!! it was full of action and it was fast paced. i like the whole cast of characters and all their dynamics with each other.

I appreciated that the romance was very minimal in its importance to the story, but I did enjoy it! I wasn’t OBSESSED with the relationship but I did think it was more of a naturally developed relationship and didn’t seem forced or like instalove.

I did get confused at some points because there was SO MUCH ACTION and the end confused me, honestly I was like “wtf are they doing rn” and at that point I just went with the flow even if I didn’t understand what was going on.
