Thus was more of a slow burn than I am used to but it works so well. I had a few literal lol moments reading this one.

I am in awe of how brilliantly written this book is. I was immediately captivated by the first page and was unable to tear myself away.
Maddie is such a lovely human and her journey through this story is spectacular. Elena Bartel is a true ice queen and her character arc is amazing. The supporting characters are all multidimensional and their presence is essential to the plot development. The charming and witty dialogue was effortless and made me love this book even more.
This is hands down one of the most immersive and all-encompassing books I've ever read.

This gets 3.25 stars from me. Not my favourite Lee Winter book. But, if you're the type who is looking for a Sapphic version of The Devil Wears Prada, this is for you.

The romance buildup was very slow in this book but it worked out perfectly and made the story feel more believable and rewarding at the end. I loved the way the sex scene was written. I wish there were just a few more chapters that were focused on the two MC's relationship.
