Absolutely adored this book, even more so because I read it in Naples surrounded by some of the most important people in my life, celebrating my birthday and drinking custom-made cocktails :D

the "intimate, raw, complex friendship and love between two women" trope has me on a chokehold. this book was so well-written and dragged me through the mud by its execution of intricate characters that feel too real. i don't have enough words to describe this book, but others have, so i'll simply simplify it: this book was enticing, beautiful, mesmerizing and i truly loved it.
