Drew me in and kept me wanting to read until I finished it. It was incredibly graphic at points, which made some parts difficult to read. Highly, highly recommend checking out content warnings before reading (I did not, and probably should have, though not sure even that would have prepared me for how disturbing some of it is). Still, excellently written, with some twists I saw coming and some that I did not. Makes me interested to read other (maybe less graphic) books by this author.

This thriller has a legit supervillain. Not morally grey, pure evil. So if you want someone to root against you will get it.

This one kept me engaged from early on - which is exactly what I look for in a book. It's graphic and difficult at points, so that's something to get through.

Wow. Perfectly paced. I was wrapped up in this book for an entire day. I had to finish it. I will say my brain feels icky after reading it, definitely check the trigger warnings.

This book needs trigger warnings. It’s very heavy on sexual assault, violence, and torture. The story was intriguing but was definitely longer than it needed to be (I was ready for it to be done at 60%). The storyline became more and more far-fetched the longer it went on. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.
