This is my first time reading Sarah Adams' work and I got to say that I will be reading more from her in the future.

First in the When in Rome series and loosely inspired by the film, Roman Holiday, mega pop star Amelia Rose (otherwise known as Rae Rose to her millions of fans) escapes under the scrutinizing eye of her manager and winds up having her car break down on the front lawn of Noah Walker in Rome, Kentucky. Reluctantly agreeing to let Amelia to stay in his guest bedroom until Amelia's car gets fixed, what seem to be complete opposites fall for each other and wonder how their relationship can last outside of Rome.

This is a very sweet rom-com and it was such a good book. Yes, while I thought some of the writing felt cheesy at times, Adams' writing allows you stay right into the book and makes it feel like you're right in Rome, Kentucky and all of its' small town charm. Since When in Rome is dual POV, you get to see some solid character development in Amelia and Noah as they learn how to let each other in despite their lives being so different.

One of the things I love about When in Rome is how this is a closed door romance. I honestly prefer closed door romances, and it was nice to see that in this book while also getting to read all the swoon worthy and adorable moments that make up book rom-coms.

Now, if you are looking for a closed-door grumpy x sunshine or celebrity romance, you are going to want to keep an eye out for When in Rome.
