another  cute and cozy lil witch book. while you should read the first one for context, I think I liked this one more than the first one?

spice 🌶  - a 4 🌶  spicy, but like a 4-
length - just right.
reading speed - read in ~3 days
did it make me cry? - nope

This book was so fun and easy to read.
Was it cheesy at times? Yes
Was it groundbreaking literature? No
But did I love it? Absolutely
Sometimes you just need a lighthearted rom-com to get you through the week, and this book was the perfect escape.
I had such a good time reading it and I absolutely loved Wells and Gwyn’s love story. (Even more than Rhy and Vivi’s).

I don’t know why I waited so long to read this but I’m so glad I finally did!

i think i enjoyed this one more than the ex hex. i liked the dynamic between gwyn and wells, and the little mysterious/suspenseful subplot was enjoyable. this series reads much a like a halloween-type of hallmark movie, which isn't necessarily bad, but it isn't my favorite style.

⚠️: kidnapping, blood, violence, torture, death of parent, injury/injury detail, fire/fire injury

It was cute. It was certainly better than the first one, in my opinion. I liked Gwyn and Wells much better than Vivi and Rhys so I'm sure that played a part. I love the magical town and the cutesy Hallmark movie vibe of these books. Character development was much better in this book. I also thought the romance and the spicy stuff had better pacing in this book. I wish the author would stop trying to make "Rhiannon's tits" happen and that she was familiar with other measurements of time aside from the incredibly overused "a beat." But we cannot have everything, can we?

“Gwen had no doubt that whoever he was, his ancestors had absolutely once stared down the business end of guillotine.
You don't get cheekbones like that without oppressing some peasants.”

After reading The Ex Hex I didn't know what to expect of this book. I knew that this was an enemies-to-lovers story and that its my favorite troupe. So, there was a change that I would love this book. Spoiler alert: I really liked this book! More than its predecessor.

Its a funny, lighthearted story with a side of mystery and a talking cat, that I really liked and found entertaining. Gwyn and Wells are perfect both as enemies and lovers. The story has a great pacing and it is well-structured!

I really liked it, and I'm now excited for the third installment of this series!
