it’s a fine story but doesn’t really represent much character development or inform our understanding of any of the main cast much. The only thing that can be said is that there is some contemplation on whether justice should be served on by Hadrian or the emperor. I think a bit longer of a page count could have realised parts of the story that were quite barebones
