I enjoyed this book. I didn’t really know what I was expecting, I just picked it at random for an audiobook to listen to without really reading the synopsis. There’s definitely a lot going on in this book, with lots of flashbacks and lots of characters involved in parts of the story from previous relationships, etc. and I found it a little bit hard to follow in that regard, especially as an audiobook. But I did find the story that unfolded quite engaging. I don’t think I was particularly invested in the love triangle element, and I never really enjoy that kind of storyline in books, but that’s just a personal preference. I think I did find it dragged a little bit towards the end after we find out about the ‘event’, and it felt like it peaked early on. I was waiting for something else to happen at the end, but it felt a little anticlimactic.

I think in the end, my main criticism is that it was very jam packed with lots of different plot points, storylines and characters, and yet the main story arc was a little bit underwhelming.
