I když na povídky obvykle moc nejsem, říkala jsem si, že tuto sbírku si přeci jen přečtu. A udělala jsem dobře. Povídky krásně dokreslují celý příběh a příjemně a nenásilně jej uzavírají. Navíc odhalují o něco více z Cardanova života i důvod, proč se choval a jednal, jak jednal.
slow-paced
I liked this more than I expected to. I wasn't going to pick it up, but then I saw it in the bookstore and I just couldn't resist. This book is a quick read, a bunch of short stories. I usually don't like short stories, and since the original trilogy thrived on its story and characters, short stories felt like a mistake. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The stories all kind of come together and it feels like the writing has improved a bit. This book was a nice reminder that I'm still somewhat emotionally attached to Cardan. I very much enjoyed seeing his POV and getting some more backstory. The drawings are also cute. But there is not that much of a plot, and the stories weren't great, a bit repetitive at times. And like I said, short stories aren't really my thing.
Overall, 3/5

Finished out the Folk of the Air series with Cardan’s POV. Filler book, got some insight but didn’t really add much to the story overall
This book kept me entertained for an hour, but I wanted more moments into Cardan's life as he started to realize he liked Jude. There was barely any.
