It's been a minute since I've returned to the world of Elfhame from the The Folk of the Air series, but stepping back in through the lens of Cardan felt like a warmth to my heart and a returned greeting to an old friend.

Not only do we get little stories and an accumulation of what makes the character of Cardan, but the art that accompanies it is absolutely stunning and beautiful!

All in all, it created a breath of fresh air that I needed between books, and I'm more than thrilled to come back once more in the next book, The Stolen Heir.
