I just absolutely loved this collection of stories. I was a little worried about reading it so long after I finished The Cruel Prince trilogy (it’s been about two years), but it was still so much fun and so intriguing! It’s super short, so I read it all in one sitting. Didn’t want to put it down. Love Holly Black’s writing and this was such a fun collection of fairytales.

This book is good as a collectors item for fans of The Cruel Prince, however it doesn’t actually offer much new information and is more of a coffee table format/length. The artwork is very beautiful!

a character study primarily aimed at those those who already love the character in question: which i do! i wish that there was a bit more to it than just that, though, as i don't feel as if it offered much of anything i couldn't have found in multiples by simply searching through ao3. but i did have a lot of fun overall (it saved me from the longest, most harrowing travel day of my life), and i especially loved every instance of cardan interacting with the human world - it was so endearingly amusing. also, i am glad to report that both cardan and jude are as dear to me as ever. i love how in awe of her he is (as is only right).
