3.5★ alone for the fact that the baby cardan survived on cat milk. lol. that was a quick delightful read and i loved it. reminds me of those bedtime stories i’d read when i was a kid. cute pictures & cute cardan!

Firstly, the artwork in this book was beautiful, it added such an immersive nature to the reading experience and secondly this book was fun!
It’s pretty much a collective of short stories about Cardans life told from his perspective and because the chapters were short it was a really easy read. It was enjoyable but I don’t believe it added so much to the world that it is vital to read if you don’t already have it

This was such an excellent little novella. You learned about many of the different stories that make up Cardan’s life that were mentioned in the previous books, and from his POV, which was refreshing. The artwork in this was stunning and definitely elevated my experience - I wish all of Holly Black’s books were illustrated like this! Beautiful!
