Lauren escapes her pain and now lives in Melbourne. As she tries to forget her past life, in the meantime, she works as a waitress. But then Harry appears, and some bits of her past come to the surface again. Magnolias don't die deals with unsolved Lauren's issues and is an excellent sequel to the first book: Oleanders are poisonous.
