I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. I thought this book was adorable and very realistic. It's a parallel of two single parents and the blending of families. In this case, a fox and a badger family. I thought the silly fights between the kids was accurate to figuring out how to all live together.

Again (see my review of [b:Peace and Quiet|13641445|Peace and Quiet (Mr. Badger and Mrs. Fox #4)|Brigitte Luciani|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1355046248s/13641445.jpg|19256367]) lovely illustrations, but I can't help but wonder whether something is amiss with the translation of the text. The dialogue doesn't have any of the charm of the pictures, and at times it's more than a bit annoying. On one hand the message of the books may be to promote understandings between siblings, in particular in a blended family, but beware parents that the siblings in this series are constantly bickering, and it gets a little old.

This is actually a children's graphic novel but I don't have a shelf for that.
I read this to my kids last night and they loved it!
Mrs. Fox and her daughter accidentally stubble upon Mr Badger's burrow while hiding from hunters. They quickly take a liking to each other and he invites them to move in. The children of course are not happy about this because of how different they are so they plan to break their parents up.
This is a great book for blended families to read to their children.

Milý a jednoduchý príbeh o rodine. Pán Jazvec s troma deťmi a pani Líška s dcérkou sa rozhodnú žiť spolu. Teda, dospeláci si padnú do oka a detí sa nepýtajú. Tým sa to vôbec nepozdáva a rozhodnú sa plány rodičov prekaziť. Čo je zápletka celej knihy.
Kniha ťaží najmä s veľmi pekných ilustrácií. Príbeh je ozaj jednoduchý, na 30tich stranách sa zjavne nedajú robiť veľké dejové zvraty. To môže byť výhoda pre decká, ktoré sa pustia do čítania samé.
Téma spojenej rodiny zase môže rezonovať u detí, ktoré sa práve v takej nachádzajú. Ani jedno z detí nie je nadšené z nových nevlastných súrodencov, ale naučia sa spolu vychádzať.
Body dole za občas mierne popletené dialógy, ktoré je ťažké sledovať a za trošku nekonzistentný dej. Deťom sa ale páčila, aj keď pre 7 ročnú slečnu zvyknutú na zaujímavejšie príbehy prišla kniha trošku nudná.
