As much as I absolutely loved this, I feel so unsatisfied with the ending. I was hoping for more.
Either way, I love Simon and Baz and Rainbow. Definitely one of my all-time favorite series.

Parry Hotter (original character, do not steal) finally has to overcome his PTSD and build a real life. Winny Geasley (OC DNS) and Germione Hranger finally also get loves interests.
God, the second and third books of this series did not need to be written.

An cathartic conclusion to the Simon Snow series. The pacing of this story is a bit erratic, switching back and forth between rapid plot developments and slow, protracted character studies. Penny and Shepherd have an excellent B plot that helps carry the momentum forward. Loved getting to spend more time with these characters, but it's a departure from the other two books--perhaps an unnecessary one.

This book gave me everything I needed and more. The second book broke something in me that this one tenderly stitched back together. We know by now the world building, magic system, and character development are all stunning and unique in this series. This book doubles down on that strength. This one felt more character-driven than the other two books and that was the best choice Rowell could’ve made, in my opinion. Where the last book left me wanting more for the love between Simon and Baz, this one made me replete. That said, Rowell left PLENTY of opportunities for future narratives to be written if she desires….I really hope she desires. I could honestly read 1,000 more pages about the naked and delicate and burning way that Baz and Simon love each other. This is one of those book series that you feel so full but so hollow after reading, because you loved the characters so much that it feels like a genuine loss to not get to read more of them. 100000/10

The two stars are just for Agatha and Niamh because I love Agatha and this arc for her.
This book was so unnecessary and such a waste of my time and energy. Baz and Simon’s love story is annoying and not fun to read at all. I love Shepard but he was basically pointless in this book and he gets practically abandoned in the end as do Agatha and Niamh. The book is 575 and yet somehow that wasn’t enough to give each of these characters a proper ending? That’s crazy!
