The Raven Boys are made up of our main four boys: Gansey, Adam, Noah, and Ronan. They are from the elite all-boys school called, Aglionby Academy, all who are so very different from one another. They are in search of something that makes them cross paths with our main character Blue. A daughter of a psychic within a family of them, she is the only one not gifted with sight per say, but rather the ability to amplify others' gifts.
What could possibly bring these teens together and what could Gansey be so desperately seeking that he drags this unlikely group into a quest for something long thought lost to time. Not to mention all the secrets that each is keeping to themselves. Join the raven boys and Blue in their quest for a Welsh myth to come to life.
Moderate: Child abuse
Minor: Grief, Gun violence, Domestic abuse, Violence, Child death, Death, Injury/Injury detail, and Murder

This was so good. The writing style took me a bit to get into, it's very unique. All of the Raven boys won my heart. I love them all. Blue is such a sassy character and I love her for it. The character interaction is what kept me hooked, the plot was a little confusing at first because it's not what I expected at all but I got into it after a bit. Flew through most of the book but had to slow waaaaay down on the last 50-100 pages because SO MANY KEY EVENTS HAPPENED. I wasn't ready lol. Lots of unanswered questions. Hopefully all that will be cleared up in the next 3 books!

I finished the raven boys just now. It was super cool, ok sometimes I got bored mostly on a certain pov but with Chapter 15 that carried me to the other end of the universe I can’t put a bad grade on it!

second read (4/5 stars):
much more enjoyable the second time around. being familiar with the characters and the mechanics of the magic system helped a lot. I'm glad I went for a re-read not too long after the first one so it was all still fresh. all the characters are very unique with distinct personalities, depth and backstory. the main plot was well-paced and all sub-plots served a purpose. excited for the rest of the series.
first read (2/5 stars):
I feel like I may need to give this another chance to enjoy it more and I might just do that in the near future.
