I ADORE these characters! They are so layered, and have excellent dynamics between them. I love their humour and the way they interact!

The writing is also perfect to me. The short and exciting chapters, the cliffhanger at the end, the lyrical academic yet vague nature of the magic system. I just love all of it!

This reread was perfection

I kind of really loved this book. I really didn't think I was going to like it as much as I did but I thought it was fantastic. I really can't wait to read the next one. Would definitely recommend.

I get it now . . . I loved this book, I loved the Raven boys, I loved Blue. Can’t wait to continue!

I actually enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would.

All the characters are super interesting and I loved the different dynamics we got between them all.

There was also quite a few plot points I really didn’t see coming.

Such a unique concept and I’m really excited to continue the series now!

4/5 stars!

This book was incredible. It's one of those books where the story is almost intangible, rather dreamy, I suppose, and just slightly creepy. It hooks you and drags you into the story. Stiefvater's writing is excellent - I could clearly picture all the characters and events in my head. It's positively entrancing. Every character is distinct, and the story moves along seamlessly as we try to unravel everything that's happening. I will definitely be reading book two!

Blue is the daughter of a psychic and lives with her mom's coven in a trailer park. It has been predicted that she will fall in love one day and that the boy she kisses will die. Blue also has a special gift.

The Raven Boys, Gansey, Adam, Ronan, and Noah, are a bunch of prep school boys who are chasing Gansey's special interest project of visiting ley lines and finding a long dead king.

Somehow Blue gets caught up and embroiled in the unexpected magic and tragedy of the Raven Boys.

Modern occultism and Welsh folklore intertwine to make this a modern folktale and soft thriller.

This was absolutely lovely. Maggie Stiefvater always enchants me with her prose and her stories are beautiful and moody. The characters are all flawed and complex. It was a great time. Can't wait to see where it goes
