This was the perfect book to read whilst sick! Easy breezy, whimsical caper. I think I enjoyed it more than the 1st one because we already know the (unbelievable) characters so can dive right in with the (ridiculous) plot. Also I was prepared for the tone this time. If you took a scale for crime novels and put gritty crime thriller at one end, Osman's books would come riiiiiight down the other end, maybe one step up from Famous Five novels. And please understand NONE of this is a criticism! This was a fun, amusing read with some great twists and turns. Highly recommend if you want those feels and you'll enjoy references to Ocado and BBC Radio 2. Pleasant Sunday afternoon radio drama vibes, like a cosy hug and a rich tea biscuits dipped in your cuppa round your nan's house. When are we getting a TV adaptation and please can I help cast Bogdan?
