Well, hello Charlie!

With an exceptionally fast pace, an unexpected stalker, and moments that will have your stomach ready to flip, It's Me, Charlie was a fantastic read in my opinion.

A disgustingly wonderful read and horrific in every way. This book cuts you to the core because what happens is not unrealistic and has happened in the real world. The vile acts performed in this book are not far from what happens to women all over the globe and that is what makes it more terrifying. C.M. Guidroz really drove this one home, just don't eat lunch first!

This book was absolutely disgusting and stomach churning I actually gagged at one point. Major kudos to the author for being able to write something so grotesque and sickening. It was so nasty but I had to keep reading!

I mean there was definitely a warning at the beginning, but I wanted to try it anyway. I honestly did find this short book very disgusting. The very end was at least good! Overall just wasn’t for me.

I've been wanting to read this for so long and I really liked it! It wasn't the most extreme horror I've ever read but the ending was the best and pretty gross. This was super short, but if you're into extreme horror, I recommend it!

the writing is bland and the dialogue is hard to follow. there’s barely a plot to review, with barely any characterization or exposition. the ending is predictable and didn’t have much of an emotional impact. also, there’s A LOT of body shaming in the narrative that just felt on par with high school bullying.

i gave it a 0.5 because it did succeed in grossing me out, which i think was the main goal. but i wouldn’t call the book disturbing at all, just gross.

i also think the premise was relatively interesting, just poorly executed. in my opinion, it could have made interesting commentary on the incel phenomenon as well as the dangers of parasocial relationships, if it was developed better.

i do recommend getting it out of the way if you enjoy extreme horror and you’re curious about it, just because it’s so short. i wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not a fan of “gross-out” horror, or if you’re looking for something with deep and complex themes.
