An energetic Urban Fantasy world with shifters, vampires, witches, demons, fae and probably more we didn't see in this first book. Given that this was listed as Urban Fantasy/Romance, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the book was spent on the main character developing a new friendship.

Really harsh

I think I both love and hate this book. Piper and Nat are freaking awesome. I absolutely hate the two stalkers though. The ending had me raging like Piper.

3,5 stars with this one.

I've never before read a Kel Carpenter book. I have to say: The plot was interesting, I liked the female character and her sidekick and I think there's potential in here. Definitely a lot of potential.

So, why not 4 stars or even 5?

Well I really don't like how vague the author is with some things, it makes it hard for me to connect fully with the book and the characters.

Also, some things are not described in detail, making them seem shallow or confusing, especially regarding Piper. I think she has less depth because of this and it was hard for me to connect fully with her. She is definitely a paper character, nothing more and nothing less and well... That simply sucks.

To be fair tho, I am giving the second book an opportunity to make it better. Maybe I would feel the connection there or maybe I will condemn this series. Either way, what I found here was enough for me to try the next one out and that counts for something.

This was a lazy cliffhanger that stopped mid story. A boring waste of time! I will not be continuing the series
