Enjoyable read and good set up novel for the series. I found small sections a little too verbose which sometimes brought the quick pace to a crashing stop but that would be my only complaint and I'm hoping that's just partly down to this being a scene setter first novel in the series. Looking forward to book 2.

Handed to me by Chris N. and then Casey and I gobbled it and its sequels up. If you like Harry Potter, if you like British crime procedurals, if you enjoy British humor, if you like a little genre-bending, if you like your heroes young and handsome, this series if for you. Like all series, you have to read the first one in order to get the back story.

(I will admit that some of the sequels are not as strong as others, but all are entertaining reads and I can't wait for the next one.)
