{My thoughts} – This has got to be one of the most interesting Whatever After books I’ve read to date. I have always loved the story of Little Red Riding Hood. When the book begins Abby and Jonah get a visit from their Nana. She is suppose to look after them for the weekend while their parents are our of town. Abby gets invited to a sleepover and ends up with her feelings hurt when Nana says she can’t go. Abby decides that she will try to go around what her Nana has said and try to use MaryRose as a way to try and go to the sleepover. When she rushes down to the basement, Jonah and their dog Prince end up being hot on their heals. It’s one of those situations where what’s going to happen is just going to happen. They end up going through the mirror and land in the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

It takes them a little while to figure out what story they are in but once they do they get right to work. Or at least they attempt to by trying to come up with a reasonable plan for the situation. They end up with a plan and as they are following through with it they get a surprise. I really liked this surprise in the book and I am sure that other readers will as well. I am truly looking forward to seeing where the series is going after this point! It’s just, it’s incredible so far.

I really enjoy reading these books and I know that children that enjoy books about adventures and fairytales will as well. I highly recommend them if you have children that enjoy one of both. I had the pleasure of reading this book out loud to my two year old daughter and she sat on my lap listening to nearly the entire book without a peep. Even though there were no words she sat there while we rocked and read. I think that any child can learn to enjoy a good story if you start them out young. I am truly hoping that my younger two will become book lovers like myself.

Holy twist in this one! Jonah and Abby get a surprise guest show up in their latest fairytale adventure in Little Red Riding Hood and also at the same time Jonah has a cute little crush on Red Riding Hood even....

As I keep saying it seems these get cuter with each new book and now that I'm almost done with this series, I'm excited to finish and see what else is in store for Abby and Jonah! :D And also last note:
for any mom who's looking for good, fun, clean stories for their kids, these are it and perfect even for little boys who will totally relate to Jonah and vice versa with girls and Abby. These are seriously so much fun and I'm absolutely loving them! I became an aunt for the first time ever in January of this year (2022) and so when my cute little niece is older and can understand books more, I'm hoping to get copies of these for myself one day and read them to her! Seriously the cutest books ever!

My Thoughts:

- I read this aloud to Gnome. We enjoy reading this series together.

- Abby and Jonah's Nana is visiting them. Their Nana loves telling them fairy tales for bedtime stories. When Abby gets invited to a sleepover, Nana says she can't go because she wants to spend time with family. Abby is upset and tries to get around the situation by going through the magic mirror. Of course it doesn't work, and Abby and Jonah end up in Little Red Riding Hood's story.

- I always love the twists Mlynowski comes up with. They are so clever and improve the original stories by making them more modern and forward thinking.

- There aren't a lot of stories about grandkids and their relationship with their grandparents, so I really liked that aspect in this book.

- I don't know if I'd enjoy these books as much if I read them myself. They are definitely too young for me, but they are perfect read-a-loud books. TBH, Gnome is probably outgrowing these books as well, but we still love reading them.

I love these books so much. This one wasn’t my FAVORITE, but I still enjoyed it! And I loved that we got insight into why Abby and Jonah were chosen to go through the mirror in the first place! And Nana tagging along was a nice surprise!
