Ok so this book is about sex wizards and it deals with lots of it because it is how they cast their spells. I was really intrigued with how the casting works and thought the author did a good job with creating the different types of casting along with how the acts work to create the spells. I am not going to tell you... you will have to read it to find out for yourselves.
There is a bunch of spice because they need spells but it does have a storyline/plot and it does not get resolved in the first book, it only gets started.
Obviously if this type of content is not your thing becasue it is very much open door and detailed, skip it. However, if you don't mind the many types of acts, partners of all sexes, and general naughty-ness then I think you should try this... you never know what you will end up liking. As Dom says "I'll try anything twice." :-)

Good writing and lots of good BDSM aspects, written by someone who has either lived it or researched it well. I found this particularly refreshing.
However, this book ended up being a DNF (did not finish) for me. As good as the writing was, and as well portrayed as the BDSM aspects were, the book felt flat. There wasn't much in the way of highs and lows---everything just kind of hit the same note. As such, it felt sloooooowwwww to me. I read to a bit past 30%, but when it didn't pick up, I couldn't persuade myself to invest more time in it.
A+ for the BDSM portrayals, but not great as far as plot and pacing.
