This was all smut and no plot, and while I don't mind that, this book is lacking in character development. You get a great diverse cast of fun and unique people and creatures, but you don't get past surface level with them.

Damn... this book is incredibly well written and is a new take on magic!

Alright so. This book was amazing!! Honestly I think it’s some of the best smut I’ve ever read. The concept is far-fetched at first, but the magic system was actually incredibly well-thought out and believable, the chemistry between the characters was excellent, all the side characters were so lovable and well-written, and the spice and plot were balanced really well. All-in-all I loved this book so much and I am not ashamed to admit it

✨4.5✨

By chance I saw the author post a reel on Instagram about her books, commenting that there was an asexual character in the series that featured BDSM magic and kinks. I have been looking for more ace representation and the promise of a queer normative fantasy world had me intrigued.

Little did I know the magic and story would be as fun as it is. There is a LOT of smut/sex but it's also very interesting to read. Couldn't put the book down

Unironically one of the best books I've ever read. It seriously had no right being as good as it was.

The premise for this book was extremely unique and interesting. I really appreciate the inclusivity and the focus on consent and how the villains are essentially villainous because they violate that key tenet. Also great to have a preview of what’s to come, including trigger warnings, at the beginning of the chapters.

This book was perfect. I statred it out thinking that this book had excellent kink and then it evolved to have a great plot line. I loved the sex, the intimacy and peronal dynamics. Really enjoyable read.

A fun continuation of spicy summer reading. Possibly too many characters for me to keep track of but the world that was created was fun. Trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter was a nice touch. If you were waiting for someone to create a magic system that was driven by kink, your wait is over!

Umm this book was so good for no reason?!?! Gay sex wizards sounded like a fun read, and it was. Like, ridiculously so. The emphasis on consent made scenes fun and sexy when they could easily have left an icky feeling due to the extreme nature of the scenes. No icks here! And the magic system is well thought out! Loved the main character as well as all of the side characters we met at the Crux. It had this beautiful found family aspect I was not expecting at all. Content warnings are included before each chapter with extreme thoughtfulness and descriptive enough you know exactly what you’re getting into. It had an extraordinarily inclusive cast and the queer representation was immaculate.
