The plot is thin, it is really just a canvas for the meat of the book: great kinky smut.
I liked how there's a big variety of kinks presented, and how the importance of consent is re-enforcement each time. It made it all more enjoyable and also made me curious and interesting, even when there were kinks that don't do it for me. The book broaden my horizons, and I enjoyed that.

There is a very specific mood you have to be in for this to be enjoyable, and no I will not elaborate on that

I really like the idea of casting through kink. this was new and refreshing
at first it threw me off because Dom (the maincaracter called dom but non of his casting mates sub is a shame but also pls a different name would've been better) gets everything right in the first try. there is no failed castings and he never does anything wrong. but as I warmed up with the story, it felt like a childish aspect in a such grown up book. It felt like reading hero stories after bedtime and a little bit like childhood. i know that some people hated that dom is basically the chosen one, but I think it's alright. a bit more trouble would've done a lot tho
also I think I wanted more from the book. more sub plot, more story, more of everything. its incredibly fast moving and I wish there were a bit more resting.

Ok so a couple of amazing things about this book. While I don't know the authors experience in the kink scene it is written like she really knows what she is doing. She models consent being renewable and revocable all the way through the book, and that is beyond refreshing! Not to mention the trigger warnings which are listed at the beginning of the chapters, that is seriously some cold star work there!
The other thing is the diversity of the characters. While I would have loved to see a flat out queer woman character, that really wouldn't have worked within this story line. But the rest of the cast truly checks off all the boxes in the diversity check list. I am looking forward to reading the others in the series and meeting new characters as we go along.
