Super repetitive and somewhat boring.  Not many practical tips for the average, childless person.  Many examples of athletes and child-rearing.

I was already familiar with the concepts so I didn’t feel that the book added a lot of new value for me personally, but I did particularly enjoy the section about helping children form growth mindsets, and the additional info on false growth mindsets.

Overall I liked the author and found the book well written, although a bit repetitive. I respond better to the positive examples as opposed to the negative examples, so I found it slow going through the latter.

I’d definitely recommend the book to anyone unfamiliar with the concepts and any parent or coach.

We teach growth mindset at our school and teach students the benefit of having a growth mindset as opposed to a fixed mindset. So, this book really wasn’t new information, but nonetheless- always motivating and refreshing for me to read a “self-help” book! Even though a lot seemed common sense, and what I already believe… I still considered it a good read.

This book was recommended to me by one of my jiujitsu instructors. I resisted because I'm not a fan of the self-help genre but I ended up really loving it. It's also helping me to understand a frustrating situation at work.

This was excellent and very helpful.
