I'm still not sure about that title and the ending is a bit pat/?? but I surprisingly enjoyed this one. Some deft description of art/painting as well.

Fun easy read! Had me laughing out loud a few times which is usually a huge win for me. I really enjoyed hearing the perspective of a 29 year old not super crazy about sex or even her being super knowledgeable on it and it being normalized! And on the other end connecting the story to her co owner of the sex shop she inherited and how she’s so open and much more “experienced” in that arena and how that collides without their being shame I think that’s a perspective we need to see more out in the real word! It was just a good WLW smutty, yet slow burn book that I got through so quickly really wanted to see what would happen.

This has been one of my favorite rom-com reads of the year!! The author makes you want to root for the characters individually and as a couple. I loved that grief was a catalyst for change without losing any levity throughout the book. Maybe I’m on the wrong side of book-social-media but I can’t believe I haven’t seen more about this one!

This was sweet!
I read very little of this genre, but sometimes it’s nice to relax into a book that’s not overly complicated and where the ending is all but guaranteed to be positive for everyone involved.
I liked the humor this author wrote with, especially their descriptions of Cade’s hippie parents. They also did a good job of giving characters lovable quirks - I thought it was a great addition that Selena, for example, had a flip cell phone where only select characters on the keypad worked.
I’d read more by this author and more of this genre! I enjoyed the silliness and lightness.
