I’m still enjoying the series but the level of brutality feels like it’s just their to shock at this point? We’ve established that they’re horrible scum disgusting people. Why keep raising the level? Maybe I’m too soft

Every time I think this manga is just too silly and I'll quit it, something awesome happens. *sigh* Akame, I just can't quit you.

5/5 stars ★★★★★

Better than some of the other volumes. I can never remember who these characters are between books, but the story on this one was a bit better. Engaging, even. Maybe I will actually recall something when volume 6 comes out. Curious to see what happens next, but still not in love with any particular character or plot point.
