Charlotte was a former child star who was in a popular holiday film, and escapes to London to see her sister. Except she quickly realizes that she was accidentally left behind, and she happens to meet Graham, who’s parents own the Eden Priory Estate (which just so happened to be one of the films filming locations).

The banter between these two!!!

Thank you to Martha, Simon & schuster, and NetGalley for the arc! Thoughts are my own.

This festive read has all the makings of a charming Christmas story, with its cozy London setting being a standout highlight. While the premise and atmosphere were delightful, I found the pacing slow and struggled to fully immerse myself in the story. Though cute and heartwarming in parts, it lacked the spark to truly captivate. Still, it’s a nice pick for fans of holiday tales who enjoy light romances with a wintry backdrop.

Christmas All Around by Martha Waters is an absolutely adorable holiday romance that gave me all the cozy London-at-Christmas vibes! I adored the unique premise of traveling to famous filming locations from beloved holiday movies—it made me want to pack my bags and go on that festive adventure myself.

Charlotte and Graham completely stole the show. Their banter was snappy, their chemistry was sizzling, and I loved watching their relationship grow as they both faced the choices that brought them to where they are—and where they want to go next. The emotional depth balanced the lighthearted fun perfectly.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration—it made the experience even more immersive and charming.

This is the perfect holiday read if you’re craving romance, travel, and a little movie magic.

Charlotte might have a childhood connection to Christmas, Truly, a classic holiday feel-good movie, but when it comes to the season, she's a Grinch. Unfortunately, there's no respite from the relentless parade of holiday activities at her sister's house. Charlotte's niece is having her first Christmas and the adults around her are determined to make memories at the risk of total Christmas overload for Charlotte. When a surprising twist of fate forces Charlotte to confront her past, will it open her heart enough to let some holiday spirit in?

A pleasingly meta holiday story full of references to Hallmark movies and their tropes. Charlotte's child star turn is in a movie that seems to very intentionally be a nod to Love, Actually. The love interest and the inside references are charming enough to almost make up for the fact that Charlotte herself is a bit hard to warm up to. If you're the type of person who has picked up this book, you're also likely a person who can't relate to her utter disdain for everything Christmas in the face of what appears to be a perfectly delightful dream stay in London (squalling newborn niece notwithstanding). Still, the banter is fun and the references sure to please Hallmark stans.
