Well, old Aggie did it again. I was unsuccessful at solving whodunit. Poirot gave a rather long narration explaining his murder solving reasonings and calculations, I felt it went on too long, so minus 1 star. I felt it was  convoluted in some areas, but overall I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this mystery. I found the characters engaging. And I was shocked by the reveal! The epilouge was the perfect bow with happy endings for everyone that deserved one.

Me encantan las historias de Agatha Christie, amo como construye a los personajes y como te va llevando a pensar en los posibles culpables. Otra historia en donde el Ășnico personaje en el que no pensĂ© fue el asesino.

I found this book to be really interesting. Poirot doesn't turn up until about 100 pages in, and nothing (the murder) doesn't happen until after that! But there is so much story building before hand that is really quite necessary, that it didn't feel slow or wasted.

A fabulous instalment in the Poirot series, and a couple of references to his old cases thrown in there too. Really enjoyed it.
