3.5/5 first half was slow and I thought predictable, but there was good twist

I had mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand I was eager to know the specifics of how a murderer had remained hidden for so long, on the other I very early on guessed who they were.
This book was filled with...so much. And rather than enjoying the cast of characters I found a lot of them quite frustrating and didn't connect with them, because there was so many it was hard to get to know any of them very well.
A positive I took from this book was the impact of social media, which I found to be an accurate, if depressing reflection on the negative side of speculating and talking with others online.
I was motivated enough to finish the book and I did enjoy the audio version so I'm giving it a three star rating.

I really enjoyed this book. Gripping, unexpected twist and satisfying ending with everything all tied up.
A very good mystery/thriller! I really enjoyed the book and it was a quick read. The twists in the book were truly twists - but believable and weren’t forced. I’m glad I read it and look forward to the many more books Kara will write!
