Didn’t care for the main character. Felt like she just kept choosing to make stupid decisions instead of being true.

Ok, I absolutely loved this. I devoured it in a day. I laughed and I cried. A great debut novel— I look forward to future books by this author!

This was a unique book. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it for nearly the first 50% of the novel, but it was because it was written as an endless stream of consciousness from first person POV. after giving the character, Emma, some time to grow on me I realized that her inner dialogue was so similar to what I and many women experience on a day today of just living life and overthinking nearly everything…

I grew fonder of Emma and really wanted to see her win and so I thoroughly embraced the journey and ended up enjoying the outcome. While the plot wasn’t a roller coaster, this novel was 99% character driven, I feel like I got something out of it.

all in all— while it wasn’t the most entertaining read, It was certainly enjoyable.

Just an interesting story about alcoholism, grief and “improvement”.

I loved this! It was sweet and sad and heartwarming and I didn’t expect to like it nearly as much as I did.

This book was so incredibly sweet and raw and heartbreaking. I was so charmed by Emma right off the bat.
Her father’s death
initially felt like it came out of nowhere and didn’t serve much of a purpose, but the way that it all tied back to Emma’s sobriety was perfect. Of course, there’s Ben. I kind of loved that there were no tropes with this love story. Everything was very direct and to-the-point,
even their fight-break-up
. This was overall a very satisfying read with love characters and a sweet ending.
