Great romance that actually flashes out the maim character before getting into the romance side of things. However I can't give it full marks because about 70% through the story started to loose steam and the only way I was able to finish it was at 2x speed. Story elements just seemed to drag on with really slow resolution.

A book about alcoholics who don’t want to be alcoholics anymore… gave a good look into that world. I’m not the biggest fan of AA and the focus on religion that exists there, and I also wasn’t the biggest fan of how NYC was basically another character (all of the descriptions of where she was throughout the book, or directions to different places meant absolutely nothing to me as a non-New Yorker. That said, reading about the relationship between daughter and father was interesting, even if the daughter was a little oblivious when it came to her father when he came to visit. And the romance was kinda shoved in there and not always necessary. But I enjoyed the running commentary and the overthinking of the main character - that felt real.
