Such a long book! But a really good one. The best of King's ability to write in such a vivid way that you're left physically uncomfortable, with a wonderfully sprawling plot where you can see all the pieces moving but don't know quite where they're going. Lots of fun!

I’ll return to this in the future when I have the time to dedicate to it — I really enjoyed book 1!

I haven't read many Stephen King novels. The Stand was the first one of his books that I ever read. It is still one of my favorite novels. This apocalyptic novel raises the age old theme of good vs. evil in an excellent, engaging story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
