Tragic and beautiful in all of the best ways. Somehow Jeannette finds her reflection in a sea of shattered glass.
As I finished, I couldn’t help but ask, “Could I find mine?”, which is the shadow to every good story well told. I just wish I got more glimpses of that reflection throughout, rather than just the shattering.

I loved this. It was heart-breaking, complicated, and uplifting. What a life and what perseverance.

I highly recommend the audiobook narrated by the author. What could have been a tragic story about a bizarre and challenging childhood is transformed into a beautiful love story full of humor and forgiveness.
