Diary of a Worm

Doreen Cronin

4.02 AVERAGE

It was a nice level 1 and my kids thought it was funny.

So cleverly written and makes you realize all of the things a worm can and cannot do!

This was read by the master gardener's daughter at our Summer Reading kick-off, and it went over quite well with the diverse ages.

My classes didn't make it to the library at the end of the school year, but I have a very advanced preschool group that comes for Preschool films and stories and read it to them today. Some were familiar with the story and all enjoyed Cronin's humor.

All of Doreen Cronin's "Diary of a" books are really cute! They're pretty clever and the kids have a blast with them!

Before we even started, Johnny asked what a diary is...wonderful inquiring mind!

While my son enjoyed the story, some of the jokes were over his head, (he's a preschooler). As a parent, it is a fun read.

The three book "Diary of a ..." series is both fun and informational. I dare any adult to read them out loud and not laugh out loud. For children--of all ages.

Hilarious. Who knew that worms had career aspirations?!

Cute, funny but many of the jokes are still a bit over my four-year-old's head. I loved it, though. Will definitely hang onto this one until he's ready for it which won't be long at all. I didn't realize that this one was more than just funny - it also has actual worm information! Who knew?

C enjoyed this book a lot more than I did. He wanted to read it many times. 3 stars for me, 4 or 5 stars for C.
