Leaning towards a 2.5.

Book two in the Avalon High series.

Mr. Morton tells Ellie that she must convince Will to believe that he is really the reincarnation of King Arthur or the world will be destroyed.

I think I'd prefer to read the novel. Not much actually happens in this manga version and, once again, the book abruptly ends, leaving the reader to search for the next book.

This was completely absurd. The main character knew the entire set up was absurd, and said as much, but inexplicably went along with it anyway without any reason for her change of heart. Meg Cabot has plenty of great books, but this one is not worth your time.

First time I read it (way back when I was 12) I would have given it 5 stars.

Now I am 20 and I re-rating it as 3 stars.

Also: I am really curious who the reincarnation of Elaine, Lancelot's Elaine would be. Everyone else was there, so shouldn't she have been? And what about the rest of the knights? Are they not important?

Loved all that happened in this middle book! So good, and I hated the threats!

Ellie has spent her life around tales of the middle ages and Camelot. Her parents are professors. Now for her junior year of high school, they have moved her halfway across the country to a new school while they take a year to write books. She spends the summer floating in the pool at their rented house and eventually she starts running to get ready for track.

One day she says a boy. He's beautiful and when he smiles at her it's like he's smiling at someone he knows. But that's impossible. Turns out he's the most popular boy in school and he immediately starts treating her like a friend, drawing her into his circle. Once there she discovers he's surrounded by treachery and someone has to help him.

I really enjoyed this story. Cabot does an excellent job of providing at least one surprise. She skates the edges of fantasy beautifully. What's real and what isn't makes it very interesting. She's built a great world with Avalon High. Well worth the time.

Ellie and Will are continuing their journey to discover the secrets of King Arthur. This is the middle section and has the intro to the Homecoming deadline. I really don’t like how she draws the female characters and the angles when the girls are on the panel vs. the boys. I do enjoy the rest.

This was a cute read. It was interesting to see the Lady of the Lake paired with Arthur.
