* Synopsis: A story about a boy trying to find more information about his father and his life. Along the way he does find out more along with a with girl who he befriends. They go through major missions to try and escape from higher authorities
* Pros: Easy to follow, good storyline, had an element of surprise, mystery and romance, the characters were easy to relate to
* Cons: they skimmed across a major character who died and I would have liked more info about their lives following the conclusion of the main event
* Would I recommend: Yes

meh, that's the impact that this book had on me. Eh, it was alright, didn't love it, didn't hate it.
The plotline was interesting and easy to follow, it just wasn't gripping enough, not to mention how much the main characters annoyed me.
Theo was just angsty and angry all the time, and when I say that, I really mean all the time. Rachel on the other hand, I was torn about whether to hug or slap her, her insecurities and the way she was so shy got on my nerves, maybe it was because I felt that her flaws were being pushed to the front and into the readers face as if to say "LOOK AT ME I HAVE FLAWS, I'M NOT PERFECT LIKE ALL THE YA FICTION FEMALE CHARACTERS SEEM TO BE."
That's just my honest opinion though, however I did like the Lewis/Mel storyline and I liked their arc and whatever but I don't think I'm going to read the next book, I'm not too fussed on what happens in the embryo/cloning world.

I may not have liked it but this story made me think so hats off to that.

The first thing I did after finishing this book was to grab my copy of Blood Ransom. The second was to ask myself how on EARTH I had never read a Sophie McKenzie book before. It really was that good!

The story follows two main characters, Rachel and Theo, using a dual narrative. I love this format and it works brilliantly here. I adored Rachel and loved watching her character grow and gain more confidence. Theo is perhaps slightly more distant but that is explored in the story - and I really loved the connection between him and Rachel and watching it gradually develop.

The story itself is action packed - I found myself completely gripped from pretty much the first page. McKenzie has a very assessable style of writing that is really easy to get lost in and she is definitely skilled at writing action scenes. I found myself gasping out loud, then holding my breath as I read. I was completely and utterly hooked!

I found the book to be written in a very realistic way - making it that bit more believable - and the characterisation is superb. All the characters are fleshed out and I found myself very attached to them all, especially Rachel, Theo, Mel and Lewis. Actually I found myself very taken with Lewis and liked the friendship he develops with Rachel.

This is one of those books you are going to want to read in one sitting. Every time I said 'just one more chapter' it got so exciting I just had to keep reading. Even when the book ended I was hungry for more - luckily I had a copy of Blood Ransom to hand! These books are really addictive and I can't wait to try more of Sophie McKenzie's work.

this book blew me away!!! clones, lost siblings, plus an awesome cover!!! whooooo this is my type of book! i was instantly hooked, that is some amaaazing writing!!! it was fast paced, punchy and just down right epic. It has multiple points of view, which i thought would be a downer for me, but it was not... it was what gave some of the story it's esscence... if you hated this book, then you... are a randomo and need to get a better sense of books coz this is a peice of words(the book not my review) it pure chocolate, and not just any choccy, the best most yummy choccy ever, think about the best choccy you have ever had and multiply it by a huuuuge number and that would not even cover the sheer awesomoidity of this book! so just get of ya lazy butt and waddle off to the library or book shop and READ THIS BOOK!!!! (or i will find you and force you to read it!!! muhahahahahaha) it is from the points of view of 2 14/15 year old um teenagers(duh) and they meet through a sorta chance encounter, only to find greater forces are working behind their whole lives, and how they are about to change dramaticcally!!! come on you gotta love it!!!!
