This book was really good. From the realness of the struggles of an anxiety ridden man to the avoidance of feelings, this book was perfectly written and makes you want to keep reading to see how it ends up. I absolutely loved this book.

Absolutely lovely and accurate depiction of anxiety and depression, I found Oscar to be so incredibly relatable, he's such a loveable anxious mess. I also loved Jack's uncompromising approach to insisting on Oscar's attractiveness despite his body image and insecurities, his candid acknowledgement of his own issues, and just the all around lack of judgement around the mental health mess that is Oscar's life from both Jack and all of Oscar's friends. The banter and griping and grump for grump dynamic is also just lovely. Delightfully written book all around.

I liked this despite all of the “open door” intimate scenes

Here we get grumpy/grumpy and it works. Oscar & Jack really get each other in a way that compliments each other’s grumpiness. Oscar’s anxiety and depression are very well done. Evelyn, Jack’s grandmother, is a true icon and I adored her! Where I struggled with this book is how much we lived in Oscar’s anxiety/depression spirals at points. Which I completely understand the intention it just wasn’t for me. I most enjoyed the book when it was Oscar with Jack or Evelyn because they all have wonderful banter and would’ve loved a bit more of that.

This was an adorable book! I'm reading this series backwards on accident. I loved seeing Oscar's story, and it was honestly more spicy sexy than Mason's! This had some fade to black scenes but their first was actually described. It was good stuff!

I love when one MC is grumpy, but two grumpy MCs is also very fun! Glad to see POC, gay, and anxiety representation.
